Looking for a way to make a difference in our community, and save money on your taxes?
Now you can, when you donate to the Cedar Lake Village expansion project. When you donate $250 or more to this project between now and the end of 2015, you'll receive a tax credit of 50 percent of your gift on your Kansas income tax return.
From the Executive Director, Joanna Randall:
"I am excited to announce that Cedar Lake Village will break ground soon on its memory care assisted living and Worship and Life Center expansion. We have an amazing opportunity for you to participate in this project, thanks to community service tax credits awarded to us by the Kansas Department of Commerce. When you donate $250 or more to the CLV expansion project, you will receive 50 percent of the donation as a credit on the amount you owe the state of Kansas for your 2014 and/or 2015 income taxes. The tax credits aren't a deduction, they are a credit. You can itemize the entire gift on your federal return, and receive a tax credit on your state income tax return. This is a huge benefit to donors like you who want to support our project, our residents and our community. If you've ever wanted to donate to Cedar Lake Village, now is the time. You'll be able to give twice as much because you'll get 50 percent back on your income tax return. Your gift will help us meet this growing need for memory care in our community. As a not-for-profit, we depend on the financial support of our donors to help us provide the excellent care or residents expect and deserve. Your donations can mean the difference between adequate and exceptional spaces for memory care and worship. What a great opportunity: help a trust, local not-for-profit organization and at the same time save money on your taxes. Your generous gifts of any size will provide the memory care services and worship experiences needed on the Cedar Lake Village campus."
